Practical Threefolding — come explore initiatives transforming culture, politics, & economics!
We hope you'll join us for this exciting event, which is coming up soon!
from March 14-17, 2024
at The Commons, in Viroqua, Wisconsin
Our spring session of Practical Threefolding will give us the opportunity to roll up our sleeves and engage with a wide array of social entrepreneurs whose work is in some way aligned with the values and insights of social threefolding. There will be several public events, as well as a number of more intimate sessions where we can deep dive into the work of these pioneering individuals and also strive to see the larger societal transformation that such work seeks to usher in. Everyone is welcome!
Some highlights of the weekend include:
A Friday night presentation by Michael Draskovic of the Democracy Policy Network on “Reimagining Policymaking as a Cultural Activity”
A Saturday night panel of Driftless-based social entrepreneurs working in the community investment, food, and agriculture space
An exploration of “Steward Ownership” with Cecil Wright of Maple Valley Coop
Join us!

The fee also doesn’t include housing, but affordable local homestays are available, just let us know you’re interested in this option when you register below.
— Anyone who wants to attend this course is welcome to attend regardless of what they can contribute. We don't turn people away for financial reasons —
The Practical Threefolding course (2023-2024)
Social threefolding seeks to balance and harmonize the cultural, economic, and political spheres of society. But how do we work with all three of these dimensions in our day-to-day lives? What does this look like in our homes, organizations, and local communities? And how do we make our local work fruitful for the larger societal transformation our world so desperately needs?
These are the questions we’ve taken up in this year’s Practical Threefolding course. Our first event was in October, but if you missed that you’re still welcome to attend!
